Terms and conditions

Chur Websites provides website builds and ongoing care for New Zealand businesses. These terms cover your checkout purchase and everything that follows it. By subscribing, you agree to them.

A build is a one-time job that delivers a website.

• Starter costs NZ$289 and launches your website preview as it is.
• Pro costs NZ$499 and covers up to five pages, with design and content changes.
• Ultimate starts from NZ$1,199 and needs a quote. Contact us and we will scope it.

A one-time payment is required to build your website. A recurring subscription is required to host, maintain and support your website.

All prices are in NZD and include GST.

Every build needs a care plan to keep the site live.

You can pay annually or monthly. Paying annually helps you cut costs. View our pricing here.

Care starts as soon as you pay and renews on the plan you chose.

Monthly care can be cancelled at any time. It stops at the end of the month you have already paid for. We do not refund past months.

Annual care is paid up front. If you cancel early, the site stays live until the end of the year you paid for. We do not refund unused months.

A build is not refundable once work has started.

If you already own your domain, you keep it and keep paying your registrar.

If you need a new one, the first year is included. We register it by hand in your name after payment and review.

The included first year comes with a 12-month commitment. If you cancel within the first 12 months, you pay the registration cost once, including GST. After that the domain is yours to keep or cancel.

Domain renewals are billed once a year independent of care plan renewals.

The amount is the registrar's renewal cost + 5% (a service fee covering transaction and handling).

We charge in advance before the registrar's expected renewal date. We tell you the amount and date once they are confirmed.

You can cancel a domain renewal before its charge date.

When you subscribe, you authorize Chur Websites to save your payment method and charge it for separate annual domain renewals while you are not present, at registrar renewal cost + 5%.

Once you have paid for your build, the finished site and its content are yours. We may show it in our gallery as an example of our work. Stock images stay under the licences they came with.

We provide the service with reasonable care and skill.

To the extent the law allows, our liability is limited to the fees you paid us in the previous 12 months, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss.

We may update these terms. The new version applies from the day we publish it, and continued use means you accept it.
